Managed by ministry members to benefit the needy.
Family Promise Shallow Subsidy
Family Promise identifies a family ready to move into housing. We aid their transition by providing $3,000 to the family over the course of a year.
Kalihi-Waena School Meat Giveaway
Before each Christmas, we distribute 5 lbs of chicken plus additional frozen meat items to 150 families at one of the economically poorest elementary schools in the state.
Family Promise Support
Our partner church is hosting homeless families for a week at a time up to four times a year. We assist by providing dinners for the families once or twice during their week.
The cheerful group of people in this picture have been working together in Davies kitchen to prepare a meal for all the people currently in all the IHS shelters, almost 300 men, women and children. This meal is prepared every month on the second Saturday by one of our six teams, each team serving twice each year. St. Andrews has supported the work of IHS for decades since its early days in the 1970’s. Our teams are ready to welcome new members. If you are interested please call Melvia (779-5388) or Margaret (371-4130).
