UPDATE: Lenten Events cancelled. See options here.

The Lenten Season began with Ash Wednesday, February 26 and continues until Easter Sunday, April 12. Here are some of the events originally planned for this most important season of the Christian year.

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 virus, meetings have been cancelled. Major components of these presentations are online, however. We encourage you to go to the links provided to participate.

Signs of Life

For the five Sundays in Lent during March, the Formation Committee offered the Signs of Life Program We urge you to watch the 15-minute videos for each day, which are linked from that page. The program was developed jointly by the Society of Saint John the Evangelist and Virginia Theological Seminary.

SSJE and VTS have produced a Lenten calendar showing ways to implement those suggestions and to structure our Lenten disciplines, including the seven practices in the Way of Love. We will provide you with a copy of the complete Signs of Life Calendar in your bulletin on February 23. You may download your own copy from this page.
