January 6 Epiphany “Star Party” The Magi’s Gifts
Today we will will hear of the of the gifts given to the Christ Child by the Magi and will have a “Starry” Celebration to close the season of Christmas.

January 13 Jesus’ Baptism
This Sunday we learn the Story of Baptism. In our Episcopal tradition, Holy Baptism by water and the Holy Spirit, is full initiation into the Church. People are baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – the Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer. We invited the children to remember the day of their baptism (or look forward to it) as we light candles from the Christ candle.

January 20 Parable of Parables
“What’s really inside a parable?” We will use a series of nesting boxes to begin to understand what a parable really is and why Jesus offered them to us. We learned together how words that were “just right” for one generation, needed to be changed to “fit” the next. Parables have been told and retold over hundreds and hundreds of generations since Jesus shared them with us.

January 27 Parable of the Good Shepherd
Today we hear the familiar Parable of the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd knows each of his sheep by name and they know the sound of his voice. While he shows the sheep the way to the good green grass and the cool, clear water, he also goes wherever he must when they are in danger. Wonder with your child who the sheep may really be? Who might be the Good Shepherd?
