Remembrance/Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11: You are invited to submit names, as well as rank and service, of relatives who’ve served or are serving in the military for next week’s eNews and bulletin insert by noon Tuesday, November 7. They will be remembered in all services on November 12.
November 11 is also the 100th anniversary of the death of Queen Liliuokalani (1838-1917). All Hawai’i churches, temples, mosques, and synagogues that have bells will participate by tolling their bells 100 times on Nov.11, starting at 8:30 am. The Cathedral will also have Pule-prayers in the Cathedral at 8:00 am.
Updated Member Directories are now available in the Cathedral office. We will try to have some at the services this Sunday; ask an usher!
The Christian Book Club continues Wednesdays at 9:00 am in The Manger. For details, see the web page.
Please help the Outreach Committee fill bags with food and other items for the homeless after the Sunday 10:30 service in the Manger. Doesn’t take long with a few extra hands! Children can be a big help too.
Attention Lay Readers: We have printed lectionary sheets for each upcoming Sunday that can be used to prepare ahead of time. Packets will be left in the sacristy for your convenience.
Godly Play and The Rock (program for older kids) continues. See here for current program.
eNews Deadline: We love to post news of all ministry groups in the Cathedral, as well as events and opportunities of interest to the Cathedral community. Please send items for each Wednesday’s eNews no later than noon the previous day (Tues.) to eNews@thecathedralofstandrew.org.
Welcome Newcomers! Please fill out a newcomer card found in the pews and at the narthex table — Leave your information stub with an usher or drop it in the offertory plate. Mahalo and hope to meet you soon!
